Software executive, turned green energy innovator, Greg Pal,
and his team on the L-S-9 project, have one of the most creative solutions
we've seen for the current crisis at the pump.
They've genetically altered bacteria to produce crude
oil. Apparently, the bugs eat wheat
straw, woodchips, or sugar-cane, and their fatty organic waste can be refined
into fuel.
What's even more impressive is that for the first time ever;
the process of producing fuel for your car is actually GOOD for the
environment.
The projected cost for this new "green crude" is
around $50 a barrel. With speculation
of current crude prices at $200 a barrel, the new "Green crude," is
great news, but don't start planning your road trip yet... the first refinery, based
on LS9 technology won't be ready until 2011.

Have you had your eye on a new laptop or HD TV? Thanksgiving is right around the corner and
so is "Black Friday!" That's
the day AFTER Thanksgiving when electronics retailers DRASTICALLY cut prices,
for one day only, to attract Christmas shoppers and bargain-hunters. You may have to wait in line for your new
gadgets, but the low prices will make it worth the wait.
